Natalie Sanders' Word View
Who I am....
I was born and raised in Pulaski County, Mo. My father was in the Army and served 22 years as an Engineer. As a consequence of his MOS, we were only ever stationed at Fort Leonard Wood and Germany.
I grew up in Dixon and managed to not let that scar me for life. LOL. I still live in Pulaski County and am currently working as a reporter for the Daily Guide.
I'm married to my wonderful husband, Patrick Sanders, and together we have four great kids. Dayanera is our oldest, Maverick is our middle son, Stryker is our youngest son, and Bryndlee is our baby daughter.
I went to Drury University and have two BS degrees. My first degree is in English and my second is in Writing. Like all English and Writing majors, I have always wanted to be a writer. I'm also a former high school and middle school English and Language Arts teacher. I love photography and dabble in that as well.
My writing skills, people skills, background, and photography skills have landed me in a career in media, which it turns out... I absolutely love! My first love in journalism is investigative reporting and I have managed to do several stories along those lines at the Daily Guide such as the series on the Richland pound and the series on the cost of living in the Waynesville/St. Robert area. I am not afraid of controversy and will pursue a story until it's done.
My second love in journalism is feature stories on people. I love to interview people, hear their stories, and tell them. I've met some really wonderful and interesting people doing that part of the job. Breaking news can be exciting, meetings informative, but features and investigations are what keep me going.
Writing has always been in my blood and I've been doing it since I was in middle school. I write in several genres such as romance, paranormal, fantasy/sci-fi, and even literature. I've entered the word of e-publishing and have started to publish my writing. The first book to be published is Letters From Mother, a short novel in which I'm sure the ink is composed of my blood. LOL. Anyway, there are links to the book on it's page located in my books on the site. Enjoy! And please feel free to contact me.
